ProLiant Support Packs represent operating system (OS) specific bundles of ProLiant optimized drivers, utilities, and management agents. These bundles of software are tested and released concurrently with HP's SmartStart CD to ensure proper installation and functionality.
ProLiant Support Packs provide customers with a ProLiant system software baseline that has already been tested and verified by HP. Users can standardize upon a particular release of a ProLiant Support Pack as a base level for the servers throughout their environment. In addition to the baseline capabilities inherent with ProLiant Support Packs, HP provides tools that make deploying the software updates to ProLiant servers throughout the environment easy.
For the Microsoft Windows Server 2003, and Server 2003 for x64 Editions environment, we provide the Remote Deployment Utility which allows customers to deploy software updates delivered within ProLiant Support Packs to remote servers on a one to one basis.
