How to reset the eIAM Admin Pasword

 

  1. Stop the iTechnology iGateway Service



  2. Edit file iPoz.onf under folder ..\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\iTechnology:



  3. Locate the '<EiamAdminPassword>' line at the bottom of the file:



  4. Delete the encrypted password from the line identified above, to leave just the start and end tokens, e.g.
      <EiamAdminPassword>xxxxx</EiamAdminPassword>
    becomes
    <EiamAdminPassword></EiamAdminPassword>
  5. Start the iTechnology igateway Service



  6. Re-run pdm_configure and enter a new password for the eIAM Admin user.


Having entered a new password, pdm_configure will now be able to make a connection.
